Police have identified the man killed after his motor scooter slid into an RTS bus Thursday on Portland Avenue.
Police say the bus was headed northbound on Portland towards Mohawk when the scooter, driven by 38-year old Daniel Morales, turned the corner. Police say Morales was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and slammed into the side of the bus.
Witnesses say the scooter bounced off the side of the bus and Morales was trapped underneath.
Only one passenger was on the bus.
Police were on the scene for six hours. They say the bus driver will not be charged.

"The bus was turning so the back part, you could see the curve, and I see him coming and I'm like, ’oh snap, he's about to hit this bus,'" said Terdaryle Paige.
Police say Daniel Morales was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his motor-scooter and crashed into the bus, bounced off and landed in the street. Morales was trapped under the bus.
"The bus driver sees that the driver lost control, slammed on the brakes," said Captain Ray Dearcop of the Rochester Police Department.
Morales was pronounced dead at the scene.
"At this point in time, we don't know how fast the driver was going. We are waiting for our special investigation accident unit to come in, do their investigation," said Dearcop.
For Terdaryle, the sole passenger on the bus, this will be a sleepless night. He and the bus driver escaped physical injury.
"I was just getting off of work, coming home. To actually see it, it's just totally different."
