Police in California have reopened the case of a woman killed in a fire 21 years ago after her husband was recently charged with murdering his son in Seneca County.
Police have reopened the investigating into the 1991 death of Karl Karlsen's 30-year-old wife, Christena Karlsen.
The mother of three was killed in a Northern California fire that Karlsen told investigators started from a kerosene spill. The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office says they've began interviewing people on the case.
The 53-year-old Karlsen pleaded not-guilty to second degree murder and insurance fraud Monday in connection with the death of his son, Levi Karlsen.
Karlsen is being accused of intentionally dropping a car on his son four years ago, and collecting a large payout from a life insurance policy that was set up two weeks prior to Levi's death.
