Firefighters responded to a house fire Tuesday morning on Frost Avenue in Rochester. Crews were called to the home around 6:20 a.m. Tuesday.

When firefighters arrived, they found the front of the home nearly engulfed in flames. The fire spread from the first to the second floor.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and there is extensive heat and smoke damage to the first floor.

Firefighters say as long as they have the proper equipment, the winter weather does not hinder their efforts to put out a fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
