Rochester police have identified the man shot on Lyell Avenue early Thursday morning as a 17-year-old city resident.
Police say a suspect shot at a car multiple times with a shotgun in front of a corner store around 1 a.m. The victim was inside the car when he was hit in his torso.
The driver of the car immediately drove him to the hospital for treatment of what police describe as non-life threatening injuries.
Police are reviewing video from the store and talking to witnesses to try to piece together what happened. No arrests have been made yet.
