Man Arrested for Growing Marijuana

An East Rochester man pleaded guilty to charges of growing marijuana and burglary.

Police in Irondequoit say they recovered 276 marijuana plants, as well as scales, lights and other equipment in a house Christopher Monfort, 40, admits to using for a grow operation.

Monfort also pleaded guilty to the burglary of more than 67 tons of processed scrap metal from railcars at a CSX transportation railroad yard in 2009.
