  • Text size: + -

Three k-9 units helped track down two men who deputies believe stole a car.

It all went down early Sunday morning.

Authorities got a call about a car that had gone off the road in the town of Rush, but the car turned out to be stolen from the Town of Brighton.

Deputies followed footprints in the snow along the 390. The dogs followed the clues and tracked down 40-year-old Tyrone Gordon and 26-year-old Rene Gonzalez walking near the RIT Inn and Conference Center.

The dogs followed the trail for more than three miles.

The two have now been charged with criminal possession of stolen property and criminal mischief in the 4th degree.
