ELMA, N.Y. — Among the 30+ Buffalo Bills players working out at Sahlen’s Sports park this week was second year player Naaman Roosevelt.
The former UB standout started his rookie season on the practice squad. A number of injuries at the wide receiver position gave him a chance to get on the field.
For a player like Naaman, who's been part of the Buffalo sports scene for a while now, the lockout player workouts can go a long way in helping him more see more playing time when the NFL returns to work.
“They told me that, you know, it'll probably come this year and it'll happen. If you get out there just know when you get out there, do what you do. When I got out there I just wanted to help the team out anyway,” said Roosevelt.
“Just a great feeling. So much support here and the great fans we have here so it's just good to be here still and hopefully I can continue,” said the Buffalo native.
